How Can you burn a xbox 360 video game? Ok so im seeing a lot of people on craigslist selling video games that are new for half the price that they are in a store. I'm looking for ufc 09 for xbox 360 and in a store its between 50 -70 dollars but on craigs list its selling for 25-40 dollars. The people are stayting they dont like the game and are selling as low as a 1/4 of what they paid for it the other day. Is it possable to burn a 360 game on ur computer and play it on ur xbox 360 if so please tell me about this. The truth is HELL I want to try it. Thankyou, Copper

What do you see as possible pros and cons of PS3, Xbox 360, or Wii to watch vids and play next-gen games? I want to network a game console into an existing network so that we can watch media (avi, xvid, divx etc) on the television in the living room and play next gen video games. (I don't plan on playing "illegal" games or playing mmos with cheats) I've been looking stuff up online and I came up with a list of Drawbacks and Advantages for each of the three consoles. Advantages: Xbox has Halo, the Orange Box, and probably Portal 2 when/if it is ever released and if I get one it will be one that can play Xbox regular games too so I will have new access to a wider range of games and it's easily network-able you can even stream video over the network especially if you do it via hard wire. It has USB drive to which a Hard Drive can be connected making it almost limitless expandability as far as storage goes if you don't want to stream content. PS3 has Katamari Forever which I will be honest is way more tempting than it should be. It also has the built in Blue-Ray player which is apparently better than any stand alone one on the market according to it's fans. It also can be modded fairly easily and Sony shows you how to do alot of it so I assume they won't get pissy about a mod and claim you've violated user agreements. Wii has the updated old school Nintendo games which I do really want to play. Streaming video from the network pc seems to be very Point and Click. Disadvantages I have seen: Xbox 360 likes to die and if MS thinks you might be playing hacked games you can get banned from internet usage on that system for life. In order to use it in a network you have to be running a specific version of windows (XP Media Center Edition) and not all routers work (ours is a Linksys WRT54G V8 and isn't specifically listed as compatible on the Xbox website) PS3 I have 2 PS2s and there's nothing special games wise to PS3 other than the posibility of more Katamaris and maybe the output issue (apparently the output isn't as high quality as some would like.. but this may have been with earlier models) I already have a blue ray player built into to a computer and since I don't even own any Blue Rays yet it seems silly to buy a second player. The Wii has those rediculous controllers, maybe it's cause I'm not old enough to be traditional controller retarded (or unskilled if we're being PC) but I am old enough to have spent my formative years trying NOT to shake the controller at a the TV like a frustrated monkey while playing, or maybe I just need to get used to them but my first instinct is no to want something with more sensible controlers. I have all the older Nintendo Consoles so there aren't really any games I want for Wii that I don't already have at least one version of already. Each time I start research on a console I get convinced the one I am researching is the one I want to get then I read up on the next one and get convinced THATs the one I want. Does anyone know of any other cool features I have over looked or major disadvantages to any of these consoles? (not specific games available unless they're Katamaris or Portals)

I want to buy Dragon Age: Origins for the Xbox 360 and have found a listing on Ebay, should I trust it? The game is for the Xbox 360 but what bothers me is that apparently the game is region free. "Format: Region Free (NTSCJ)" I was told that, although rare, region free 360 games do exist and that copies sold at Play Asia were also region free. I'm still unsure though, should trust it? Question about video game listing? I am looking at this listing of an Xbox 360 video game on amazon.com from a private seller and exactly what it says is this: "BRAND NEW & FACTORY SEALED - (KA)" All I'm really wondering is what the "(KA)" means??? What video games to buy? My parents have a 160 dollar gift card to bestbuy and they said we could spend about 60-70 dollars on video games. I know that will only be enough to buy one maybe two games but i dont know what games to get. The systems i have are the ps3 xbox 360 and wii. I only have Madden 09 and Midnight Club L.A. for the ps3 because i just got it about a week ago. I have wii sports and wii play for the nintendo wii (i dont want any wii games other than mario kart at the moment but id rather have a ps3 or 360 games). Lastly i have tons of games for the 360 so i will only list the newest game i have which is Call of duty four or halo 3 dont remeber which is newer. P.S. iPod Touch or Xbox 360 Elite? Well, I have a PS3 Slim and a Nintendo Wii and that is it, I was thinking about adding another Console or Handheld to my collection. It is either the 32GB iPod Touch or the Xbox 360 Elite. As you know pricing is not the issue because they both cost $299.99. I do not know which one to buy because if I am going to buy the Xbox 360, then I am afraid to have too many consoles. I do not like shooting games at all, so please do not mention anything that has to do with that. The only Xbox 360 Exclusive that I like is Forza Motorsport 3. Also, the reason why I would like to buy the Xbox 360 Elite is because of Xbox Live and the Marketplace that is available on there. I heard that it is very good and ten times better than PlayStation Network. I also have a lot of friends that I can play with on Xbox Live. But one thing that does bother me about the Xbox 360 is that it has the Red Ring of Death. Now, I know that the New Xbox 360 Consoles do not get it as much as the Old ones did, but of course there is always a chance that it might happen. Plus, I am not the kind of person that plays video games 24/7 so I do not have to worry about the Red Ring of Death as much as it really is a terrible thing. Also, if I do get the Red Ring of Death on the Xbox 360, then will Xbox send me a new one or do I have to pay for a new one? Will they fix it for free, or do I have to pay $100 to fix it? Now, back to the iPod Touch. Again, if I do buy the iPod Touch, I will buy 32GB because I will use more than 8GB but definitely not less than 8GB which is the reason why I am going to buy 32GB because 8GB is too small and 64GB is too big. Also, one thing that I do hate about the iPod Touch is that two cousins of mine have had it, and it didn't break from falling, it broke because it had a hardware problem and when ever they would try too turn it on, it just will not turn on and when they charge it, it doesn't charge. So, I hate the iPod Touch because it has many problems and if I am going to waste all of my money on applications and games, and then one year or maybe two years later the iPod Touch gets messed up, I could have wasted that money that I would have spent on games and applications on something else. I asked my parents if I could buy the iPhone 3GS instead of the iPod Touch because it has a phone and a camera, and they said no, so that is why I am stuck with the iPod Touch. I am going to list you some Pros. and Cons. on each system. Xbox 360 Pros. 1. Xbox Live is Amazing 2. Forza Motorsport 3 which I personally think is one of the best racing games out there 3. What is a good xbox 360 game? hey guys as of today when i have posted this its january 29 2010, i would like to know a SUPERB game i don't want one with crappy graphics. I want a game with good graphics, i don't want something like darksiders or dragon age origins i watched youtube videos they don't seem to help me much because the games don't look to interesting And some current games i already have: MW 2-beaten-loved 10/5 Fallout 3-Beaten-loved 5/5 Oblivion- in progress-but loved 5/5 Borderlands-Beaten-Kinda short for my game values but, ok game 3/5 Mass Effect-Just borrowed to see if 2 would be any good, its an alright game but very confusing. Games i surely want off the list: Darksiders- shitty graphics and repetitive Game play, looks short Dragon Age Origins- Very similar to lord of the rings games, didn't like them to much Divinity- stupidly easy and bad graphics, fail Mass Effect 2-haven't beaten first one and iffing if i still liked it or not! Need a new video game badly. Any ideas?! Please!? Alright I love rpgs but i would prefer a fast paced one. That doesn't mean a short one, just one that isn't slow and repetitive. I also like a good shooter game or action adventure. I have an XBOX original not 360, and a ps2 and a psp. Please help me find a new game to play. I am really bored. Not that great. -Star Wars republic comando. Pretty sweet. -Time splitters future perfect. Awesome. I forgot to mention, one thing i love is custimization. For instance champions, Kotor, that kinda thing. I really like mid-evil stuff. And sci-fi stuff. Ok i like all of it. Also, please no turn-based unless the game is amazing. New computer or Bunch of DVD's/Games? can i sue microsoft for sending me faulty xbox 360's? i bought a xbox 360 within the first year of launch and like almost everyone i know it died to the ''red rings of death''. microsoft was cool and replaced it for free and even sent me a free month of live for the incovienance. i thought this was actually good business but right now as i tell you this im about to call about my fourth replacement unit failing. thats right my fourth!!! my first replacement (xbox #2) got the red rings as well my the second one they sent me (xbox #3) started destroying the game discs and eventually stopped reading them all together. which brings me to this xbox 360 (#4) its has some kind of graphics issue. it makes madden 10 look like madden 95. iv tryed different cords, t.v.'s, and games its definatly the xbox. so this will be my 5th xbox 360 since i bought my original they've had to replace. now that being said i know what your thinking "well at least they replaced it every time and for free at that!" right? wrong, just like everyone else they expected me to pay for repair after sending me a replacement for free the first time around but i wasnt having it. the way i saw it was they had never sent a replacement that wasnt defected so why should i have to pay for the repair? its like buying a new car that breaks down 2 months after you buy it. they fix it for free but put the same defected part in it hand ya a free tank of gas and laugh all the way to the bank knowing you'll be back and next time you'll have to pay for it. i reported microsoft to the better bussiness bureo in washington since thats where there HQ is located and they got back to me quick (they have to by law). not only where they gonna fix it for free now but each time except for the first time my xbox broke they sent me one gift of my choice (which is selected off of a list of garbage items that hey cant sell) and one month of xbox live gold subscrption card. but see every xbox they've sent me with the exception of my first replacement unit that died from the rings has been in poor condition compared to the one i sent them. this last one that just broke was the worst, broken port doors on the face plate pen & dirt marks i mean come on you would think they could send me an xbox that is in the same condition if not better then the one i sent in. now ive read alot of blogs about this stuff and relize im lucky i should be happy. theres a ton of poor people out there that actually let this B.S.slide and dont do anything about it but buy a new xbox to replace their defected one and i understand that its all i EVER wanted, a working xbox 360 its what i paid for. see i buy games constantly on there release dates for my 360. the faster your done with them the more money you get back on trading it in. i also rent lots of games & buy lots of accessories for my xbox like: Rockband/guitarhero equipment, extra controlers, HDTV cords, ms points for arcade games, i also have net flix. just like everything else i pay a monthly fee and can watch movies instantly on demand though my xbox, and see thats what really gets me. no one is re-inbursing me for the games we rented that cant be played now and are gonna be due back before my xbox will be repaired. its pretty cool i pay almost $8 a game at the video store & 26.99 a month for game fly but have no xbox to play the games on. my xbox like advertised is the family entertainment system i pay an arm and a leg each month for features through my xbox that i keep having to lose because they just cant seem to send me an xbox with out any issues. they tell me that its a free repair but how free is it when i have all this money invested, im actually waisting money every time it breaks down so nothings free. like i originally told microsoft ''send me a working xbox or give me money back'' there yet to due either.

is this a good game list? i can only get 3 games so here they are: dragon ball: raging blast (xbox 360) mario kart wii new super mario bros wii and i'm also getting the nyko charge base for the xbox 360 controllers. i looked up videos of gameplay for all of them and though these 3 to be the best. wanted to get super mario galaxy but i just looked at soem videos on youtube and i have no clue on what the point of the game is.

I have a really big Xbox 360 problem. Please, I need a lot of help.? I've seem to have no help from anyone anywhere else on the internet or phone services. Just two weeks ago I recieved a status code error on my Xbox 360 saying a few features are temporarily unavailable, but I can keep in contact with my friends, such as message them and view their profiles. This is not the case however. Now to see what was wrong with my 360 I called the 1-800-4MY-XBOX number and that lead me no where. So I called my internet service provider and they reset my modem and made sure all my ports were open and firewalls were out of the way. And still nothing good came out of it. The person I was talking to said my Live connection couldn't recieve the signal properly but other people in my area were with the same type of modem. So of course, that was no help. Now I had another problem before when I couldn't sign into the messager. From time to time I had a part of a red ring in the fourth player section of the power ring and the code error was E86. This problem was soon fixed though since I realized it was happening because my hardrive was loose. So I don't know if that has anything to do with my current problem. Now before this happened, I had a wonderful Live connection and then it went downhill these past two weeks. To make sure it wasn't my harddrive I brought it to my friends house and put it in his 360. It worked like a charm, the only problem I still had was not being able to sign into messenger. And when I came home on Monday from their house, I couldn't connect to Live at all until Thursday. But I still have the same issues as I started with. Oh and I have recieved a new status code error message. 80074ee2 or 80072ee2, I honestly can't remember. So here are the issues. 1. I can't sign into Windows Live Messenger 2. I can't sign into messenger even if I go to a friends house with a totally different internet service provider and Xbox 360 console. 3. I will be connected to Live for three to five minutes at a time until I'm disconnected. 4. When I sign into any online game I'm disconnected automaticlly. 5. I haven't been able download any content at all for the last two weeks. And I have a active download that is still pending. 6. I can't listen to my messages on my console at all. 7. I can't view anyone's profiles or see their avatars when I go to my friends list. 8. I get the status code errors 8007274c and 80074ee2 or something like that. 9. My game/console freezes from time to time, but that's somewhat rare. 10. The whole console has been very slow these last two weeks. 11. Pictures in all the Xbox 360 console links like Videos and what not don't always show. -Sigh- I'm sorry for this long question and background information, but I just thought it would help if people knew so they didn't have to waste their time on answering something that already hasn't worked for me. A few last things. 1. Before my wonderful connection I had a somewhat bad one, but it went away after some time. 2. I've already done the wait 30 seconds thing on my modem several times. 3. I've done system memory matnience already. 4. My Live account still has six months left of gold membership. 5. I don't have a router, I plug directly into my modem. Should I get a new modem? Or is it something doing with my 360 in general? Please... can anyone help a guy out? Guess what I do write a lot and I have made several stories. What game should I get? I'm thinking about getting a few new video game for my xbox 360 but the problem is I don't know what's good thats out. I'm not a big fan of sports and racing games. And I have a lot of first person shooter games so thats not on my list either. What I'm really interested in is games that have a nice story line, with lots of action, and takes longer than 24 hours to beat. So what should I get? xbox 360 issues? ok. well, like a month or 2 ago something happened to my router & like i had to get a new box or whatever. after they fixed it everything was ok, but i found out that people on my friends list i couldnt play with. before i could play with them with me hosting or them, and we could private chat & video chat, and play arcade games, but after i got my router fix now we can't play anything together unless someone else hosts, we can't video chat or private chat at all, and we can't play any arcade games together [even if some other person hosts]. does anyone know how to fix this, or why it happened? thanks for the help. ok, well i have a Linksys router and my NAT is open, but my friends is moderate could that affect it?

Help with teenage guy birthday ideas? Ok so this question has two parts. I am turning 16 march 2nd and I have no idea what I want. The only thing I kind of want is the new Guitar Hero: World Tour game for Xbox 360. I need ideas! I wouldn't mind clothes but I want to put more than a video game and clothes on my list. In NY state does anyone know how much notice I have to give a tenant to leave if there is no lease? Okay so we have the tenants from hell. My boyfriend has rented the house he grew up in to his high school friend, his wife, and their 3 children since 2004. The deal was $600 a month plus utilities, but if something had to be done to the house, or if something had to be replaced, as long as they gave him a receipt he would take it off the rent. They were always late on the rent, but they always paid. June of last year they stopped paying rent, then got caught up in Dec. We raised the rent to $650 this year because taxes went up so much. Which I still think is very cheap for an entire house in NY. We got $600 in May, that was the first rent we saw for the year, and then we got another $350 in Aug, and that's been it. Yesterday the property tax bill came in and it shows that they haven't paid their water bill at all this year, so now that's another $700 we have to pay on top of the taxes. They paranoid to no end. We reluctantly put the house on the market in Nov. We had 4 different real estate companies go over to look at the house to possibly list with. They wanted to be the only people to show the house to the agents. They actually didn't even want agents there, they wanted us to list it with an agent just driving by it. They said that they didn't want people, my boyfriend and myself included "snooping" around. The wife had the locks changed before we listed it. She had a fit when my boyfriend told her that he wanted a copy of the new key, and that he needed one for the agent to put in the lock box. And when ever the agents call to show the house they say no, that its not a good time. Its not like they're hurting for money, even though they say they are. They both work, although most of what he does is side jobs. They buy classic cars, fix them up, and sell them all the time. They were just bragging to my boyfriend about how they just bought a 65 mustang that doesn't need anything done to it, but they're going to restore it anyway. And about how they just got each one of their kids a new video game system for Christmas. One got a Wii, another an Xbox 360 and the other a PS3. And how they got his mother a 3.5 karat diamond bracelet. When my boyfriend asked for rent they told him they had no money. Grrr... sorry... venting. Anyway, he never had them sign a lease, actually his friend didn't want to. He said that friends don't need contracts. How long to we have to give them to vacate? To me they're squatters now and I'd like to have them removed by the law, but he doesn't want to. Can we turn the water off on them so the bill doesn't get any bigger? WWE game based on the Attitude Era? I think, somewhere along the line, THQ should make a special wrestling video game based on one of the best era's the WWF/WWE had - the Attitude Era! Basically, the game should feature the retro WWF Championship belt, the retro WWF RAW is WAR arena, retro WWF SmackDown! arena, old Attitude Era PPV arena's (WWF WrestleMania X-Seven especially). The roster should consist of mainly Attitude Era wrestlers and their attire/looks back then, including The Rock, Stone Cold, Kurt Angle (with hair), DX, Chyna, Chris Jericho, Eddie Guerrero, and so on. The game engine should be based on SmackDown! vs RAW, and the game should be released on PS3, Xbox 360 and PS2. Now, before someone says "But they can't use the WWF logo" - No, I'm not saying that. Basically, just replace the WWF logo with the WWE logo, but still use the retro arena's, etc. The list could go on, I'm sure supporters of this idea have more ideas to go with this, but what do you think? Another thing is the online gaming. On XBL you can have your own gamer zone, which determines what kind of gamer you are and pairs you up to play with people like yourself. This works in every game, because every game's online mode is run off of the microsoft servers, whereas most ps3 games are run off of individual servers. This is very inconsistent, and that mean's that one game could be working, and another game won't. This last thing I would like to mention is the community. Now most of what I say here won't be straight fact, but rather my opinions. The xbox team really worked hard to make XBL a community experience. Every time I turn on my XBox 360 I know I'm online, and part of a community whether or not I am playing a game. You always see your gamer card, and new game advertisements that lighten up the place. When I turn on my PS3 and sign into the PSN it's a difficult feeling to describe. The best analogy I can give is that it is like turning on a computer, you know your online, but there's a lack of a sense of community. I'm looking for the best possible desktop pc for me? Here's the scenario: I'd like to buy a new desktop, (no preferences for brand). I have an xbox 360 that I'd like to connect with a new desktop with Windows Media Center on Windows 7. Here's the catch: I'd like to leave my pc on 24/7. I know there's always the debate of whether or not you should leave your pc on or not, I'm not here to have that question answered. I'm looking more for a desktop that's geared towards staying on indefinitely. I took a couple of online tests about what I want in a computer and it came up with a list of specs: Budget - around $1000 +/- $200-300 Processor - at least 2 GHz RAM - 3 GB Hard Drive - at least 250 GB (this isn't top priority as I have a couple 1TB hard drives and a hub) Video Card - at least 256 mb dedicated (this is preferred) OS - Windows 7 (not interested in Vista or XP) Size - I was told at Best Buy that if I'm going to be leaving the desktop on constantly that a large tower is a good idea to allow circulation, so no slim or small towers The PC would act primarily as an entertainment center to access video and music on my tv via the xbox and then secondarily as a gaming system. Latest xbox360 update no longer plays video? I often like to download game trailers and put them on a usb drive to watch on my 360 (as the live downloads take much longer). I updated my 360 to the latest version, and now I cannot view any of the files I have tried, as it keeps saying "you must download additional software to do this", yet I already have the media download listed, and I am connected to xbox live. Anyone else have this problem since the new version? Is there a fix?

Im really excited for this Christmas? I love video games and I am pretty much 100% sure I'm getting a PS3 for Christmas. I have a 360 and a Wii. Now I'm not here to rant about 360 vs. PS3. My parents have no respect for me - What should I do? My mom and stepdad have no respect for me. I'm a junior in HS, 17 in 2 months, no job (aside from $20/wk for a lawn I mow/trim), no girlfriend. My hobbies include playing video games, playing airsoft, camping, and fishing. My religious views are different from theirs. They are christians and I don't believe in any religion (but i don't try to convince them of this, I'm tolerant.) They on the other hand, force me to go to church and sit with them, on threat of grounding/selling my 360 that I bought with my money. However, they insist that they aren't trying to force their religion on me. I'm almost 17, if they truly aren't trying to convert me, why can't I stay home and sleep? I'm perfectly capable of taking care of myself. I usually go into the church and just sit in the foyer, but they insist that I must sit with them and have a 'good attitude'. They also insist that I stand with them when they sing, even though I don't sing, because it's embarrasing for them to have me sit down. I get grounded for everything, 'bad' grades (a 'C' in a class I hate and all others are A's and B's), not going to church, not going with them to the service, not holding hands and praying with them at the one meal a month they decide to cook, staying on games or the computer too long, if i spend the night at a friends i can't do anything electronic the next day because I was on a long time the night before. My parents havd no respect for the fact that I worked to buy all the things they ground me from and threaten to sell. They claim I'm irressponsible and lazy because I don't 'get out and do stuff'. I live in the suburbs of Kansas and I have no car or license, it's not like I can just up and go camping/fishing. My parents also have no respect for my privacy. They took the lock off my door because i don't need it. They also don't knock before they come in, even though i wait for their approval before going in their room. I'm expected to pay a portion of anything I want to do (ie: movies) and 100% of anything I want to buy. If i decide i want to do some activity like taking sax lessons, i have to help pay for it, even though my sister participatex in multiple sports and activitied and doesn't have to pay a penny. I am not involved in anything, but would have to pay. They have in many instances demanded I do stuff like mowing or shoveling snow in below 20° weather for free because i'm their son. I've even approached them and askec if i could have $15 to mow and they said i could do it for free. So, naturally i told them to do it themselves. I don't get chore money or an allowance and I can't find a job so it's hard for me to make money for the stuff i want to do. I don't even have control of my own money as its in a bank account in their name and thus i can't withdraw or deposit my own money. Several times they've threatened to take all the money i've saved up. They also like to threaten to show up at my high school to embarass me. They ask if i like girls in front of friends and family just because i don't have a girlfriend. They rarely get the food i ask for on the grocery list, but they get all of my siblings requests. They tease me by saying that my dog is my only friend, because i have a small circle of friends and love to take care of and play with him (my dog). They ask why I don't make any new friends, but I'm content with the ones i have. I have a large appetite and like to eat. When i say i'm hungry, they point to the pantry and say 'there's food'. This makes me even hungrier as they didn't buy any food i asked for. They hardly ever fix anything so they leavr me to wallow in my hunger. Several times they have made me 'earn' 'privileges' (ie the xbox i bought) by doing work for no pay. If at a meal, i say ' can i have the salt?' they won't give it to me until i say please. Now, they're selling my xbox and are threatining to sell my possessions for not going to the sanctuary with them. What the hell do i do?! I got REALLY pissed off at them, as they 'sold' my xbox 360 i bought with my own money. I ignored them, wouldn't look at them, wouldn't talk to them, wouldn't do anything they asked, insulted them, etc. I snapped. I couldn't take in anymore. Turns out that they hadn't sold my Xbox and they had decided to not make me go to church from then on out, but they conveniently decided to leave that out until after I blew up at them. I cut a deal with them where I would fix their computer (I changed the BIOS settings so it wouldn't boot), give them their phone back (I hid it), apologize, go to my dads house for a few days, and going to church every sunday, etc. in exchange for them not selling my stuff. They waited until after I made the deal to tell me that they weren't going to sell my xbox and they weren't going to make me go to church, but now they were. Assholes...

Does anyone know what the name of the upcoming xbox 360 game is that is similar to Crackdown? only the character in the game can transform his body into weapons and even himself into other people? It may not be just like crackdown, but it sort of reminded me of it when I saw the video. I am aware that there are games which I would love to buy, but they are only released 1-2 months after I go to the U.S. What should I do? Addicted to video games? Hello, I'm 13 and I think I am very much addicted to video games. Well, it's not really me playing 24/7 on video games, maybe just 1-3 hours a day, but the fact is that I keep researching video games and keep reading/watching reviews/previews on video games. Like grand theft auto IV for instance. I pretty much found out everything there is to know about the game by searching around the net and reading previews from magazine scans in forums and so on. Well I think it's just grand theft auto IV I'm addicted to researching, but whenever I'm on the computer i "always" go onto youtube for some reason and look at game play/glitches of video games and easter eggs that are in it, even though i don't even have those games! I even have a list of PS3 games and XBOX 360 games that i want and i don't even have 1/4 of them. Well most of this should end when GTA IV comes out April 29th. Then i would only play that game and only look at it's videos on youtube.

I love horror survival games and this one looks better than ever. Mercenaries 2 World In Flames is 3rd, seen videos and the game looks AWESOME! Alan Wake is 4th, another horror game with killer graphics and great storyline 5th is Call Of Duty World at War.

PlayStation 3 vs. Xbox 360? I have around $500 to spend...which one should I get? Games: People say that 360 games are better, but I like PS3 more. All 360 has for me is Halo, Gears of War, Left 4 Dead and Fable 2, Forza Motorsport. But the PS3 has LBP, Killzone 2, Resistance 2, Gran Turismo, Motorstorm, Uncharted, MGS4 (and inFamous, God of War 3 and Fat Princess which are coming out). Please tell me some good 360 games that will change my opinion besides the ones I listed Online: Xbox 360 is definetly better, but it comes with a price (pun intended). I find it stupid that I have to buy a $100 wireless adapter. But the online is amazing. The acheivment system and friend chat are all awesome! The PS3 is not as good but they did update it and its just getting better, and its free. Honestly Im willing to pay if they make PSN to the same level of Live, just cause of the games. (I like shooters but not if thats all the console has to offer, i like variety!) Features: PS3 has a Bluray player, and internet browser, can play all media (music, pics, videos). Xbox can play all media and Netflix and Marketplace Honestly im not gonna be watching blu ray movies all the time, but when i do itll be epic. ill mostly be watching cheap burned dvds. i heard the ps3 will upscale dvds which is a big plus. ill only use the internet browser sometimes, whenever my parents are using the comp or i wanna watch youtube in big screen. even if psn store is not better than marketplace ill not be buying anything. very rarely will i be buying something. but ill be downloading demos and stuff. for 360 i live in canada so i dont have netflix even if i did have it i wouldnt get it cause its extra money. and the marketplace is awesome for demos and DLC (dlc costs money but its good to extend a game its a big plus) Hardware: People say PS3 has more powerful hardware, i honestly dont care, i just one thing to say about 360... Do You Think The Xbox 360 Is A Great Video Game Console? I personally think it is. Great games with a lot of awesome content. Xbox Live is amazing. Im not talking about hardware because the Jasper model is out, and I have heard its actually really reliable... so I also think the extraordinary amounts of content on Xbox Live is another plus. Like music, downloading movies, even a Games on Demand service. Its all there, everything Sony has tried or does do Microsoft seems to do better (be aware that I am not a fanboy and I like the PS3, but only for 2 games and those are Metal Gear Solid 4, and Valkyria Chronicles... also be aware that I believe the 60GB model is the best, and is the best PS2 in the market)... now granted most of those games are on the PS3 that the 360 has. But the 360 has a lot of console exclusives (not counting PC right now... because we are talking about home consoles) like Mass Effect, Splinter Cell: Conviction, Halo 3, Gears of War, and so much more, and be aware that the only one I have played out of this list is Halo 3 but I plan on getting the others. I think for 300 dollars the 360 Elite is a great deal (its better than buying an Arcade and buying a 120GB seperately which will come to about $350). But most people will probably not like it but I say if you love video games then get it. However if you want an amazing home theater machine then get the PS3 cause 300 dollars for that is a great value. Also people wanna complain about Live, well I have used PSN and to be honest its not as good in my opinion. Wait this sounds like a review. Well um... Good Racing Video Games? I own many racing games for PC, Playstation 2 and Xbox 360, games such as the Full midnight Club series and many Need For Speed games, Forza, Test drive Unlimited and many others. I'm wondering why all the games are so limited, everytime i play one game it feels like the developers leave out key parts and its weaknesses are another games strengths and vise versa, For instance the Midnight Club Series has great customisable options, considerable better than the Need For Speed Series, though Need For Speed has much more realistic car handling. I'm wondering why the games produced by each series still have these problems and why can't a game be created that has great realism and customisation options. The car lists are usualy quite small considering all the racing games that have been released you'd think that they'd build upon it and expanding it. That was an example, its's hard to explain as i said. I know you can just say "go make your own game then if you can do better" But i don't know why a racing game can't have a large car list, realistic car handling and feeling and have good customisation options? A great racing game would most likely be online, you would have a great selection of cars, some you can purchase from the start, some you can buy when you progress through the game, some only if you say achieve a special score or do something unique. You'd start with an old "bomb" car, something like an old honda civic gl or a hyundai xcel and youd work your way up to the powerful supercars such as the Koenigsegg CCX or Saleen s7. The game would have you enter as just a random person who wants to race, youd eventualy start making friends, enemies and throughout the game friends would become enemies and some enemies would become friends, people would betray you and you betray them. The game could have you racing in both legal motorsport and illegal street racing. Other modes such as drifting, drag, first to the point, cross country racing etc. Even some extreme things such as smashing up a car, somehow preventing an enemy from winning a race or stealing cars. You'd eventualy start racing the best people until you meet the best racer in the world, the perfect driver and they would have some realy fast, powerful car, it would be just you and them alone competeing for the title of the best and it would be almost impossible to beat them, but you would feel like you accomplished something great from beating them. Car customisation should be details down to trim on your car, colour of headlights, types of pedals, how pumped up your tyres are etc. and instead of the "level 2 upgrade" you should be able to install a custom flywheel and choose the brand (in accordance to the brands price and performance in real life) and choose how you want it installed. As said it should have a huge car list with regular downloadable content such as more cars and race courses, cars should include Classic, Import, Supercars, Luxury, Racing vehicles, Muscle cars, motorcycles, maybe even SUVS and off road vehicles, as well as concept ofcourse. Online racers could either join a server where you can cruise, race in an open world while other people drive around (during your race so you might crash into free roaming people as you race) or closed where you can only interact with people your racing. So i'm sure this is the nerdiest and pointless thing ever written/typed but i'm sure it's not that hard for a company to actualy spend over 1 year making a game (even if it took 5 years) to make a game like this, it's not like it wouldn't be a success. I know there are things such as liscensing etc. but i'm sure thats a drop in the ocean for the money that they'd rake in. Also i don't think graphics matter, the graphics of Need For Speed Most Wanted are 2005 but they still look fine and i'm sure anyone could play with those, for anyone saying the graphics of the game would end up being outdated by the time it's released. Thoughts etc. would be nice

Port Forwarding Advice Needed (Xbox 360)? ***Right now, I am using a Dlink Gaming Router for all my gamer-specific needs. For the past year or so I've been using it, it's been working great. However, for the past few months, the speed my xbox normally receives (through a wireless adapter) is now reduced to less than half of what it used to run. In games, I would either lag constantly, every few seconds, or even just get disconnected instantly from the game. I looked up what was happening with the router, and it appeared every other source connected to it (PC's and laptops, etc, even the Wii and PS3) were running at normal speed, while my Xbox was still running very slowly. I have several theories/solutions... a) The problem is caused because of the distance between the Xbox and the router. The Xbox, afterall, is a floor above the router. The thing is that the Xbox has been up there this whole time and has been running fine. Also, I set it up wirelessly temporarily right next to the router (literally), and it was still running slow, so that kind of knocks that theory out. b) I need a new router, maybe even a new antenna for it. I'm not really sure how to test this other than by hooking up another router in the current one's place, and I don't have another at my disposal at the moment. A few notes: I also tried using a different wireless network adapter for the Xbox, and the results are still the same. I also did the same with another Xbox, and it was still the same. I also spoke with a tech-geek I go to school with and he suggested I either restart the modem or enter a code into my PC that will reset the IP address for the router (or something). If turning off the router by unplugging it counts as restarting it, then I have done that numerous times by now (I do not see a restart button on it). I also entered the code with my PC (Open Run, go to the Command Prompt, type ipconfig /release) which I'm pretty sure resets the IP... The weird thing is that I think it worked... my Xbox seemed to have no problems for several hours after that. At night, however, it started slowing down badly and went back to running poorly. I don't know... You can see that I am no networking genius, and I do not know much in this sort of field, which is why I came here for answers. I will greatly appreciate any helpful answers given. Please help if you can!*** That was a previous topic I posted. I received answers telling me to look into port forwarding, so I did. I spent the next 3 to 4 hours slumped in front of my computer screen, tweaking with my router and Xbox settings trying to set up "virtual servers", "game rules (for port forwarding)", and "gamefuel" (I use a D-Link DGL-4300 gaming router). Now, I don't even know what all of those things are, let alone how the whole universe of wireless networking works, but I looked up guides, past forum topics, tutorials, and even YouTube videos...!! My Xbox is still kind of having trouble with the internet... I could just save myself a bunch of time, go to Walmart and buy a 50 foot long ethernet cable and hardwire the freakin thing.... only I don't want to, and what's the point of having a wireless gaming router if I'm not even going to do my gaming wirelessly? I also spoke with a tech-geek I go to school with and he suggested I either restart the modem or enter a code into my PC that will reset the IP address for the router (or something). If turning off the router by unplugging it counts as restarting it, then I have done that numerous times by now (I do not see a restart button on it). I also entered the code with my PC (Open Run, go to the Command Prompt, type ipconfig /release) which I'm pretty sure resets the IP... The weird thing is that I think it worked... my Xbox seemed to have no problems for several hours after that. At night, however, it started slowing down badly and went back to running poorly. I don't know... You can see that I am no networking genius, and I do not know much in this sort of field, which is why I came here for answers. I will greatly appreciate any helpful answers given. OKAY FIRST OFF, you don't ask "which is better" for it is preference on what type of games you like (genres that are offered more), what type of interaction you want to have with the system, how much money it is, whether or not you are willing to part with (this is an exagerration) like, a 1% lower or higher level of graphics, and in general how you feel a console company's durability holds up. You don't just ask "which is better". You go and experience it for yourself. Go to the video game store, go play the demos (or take your kid) and YOU decide what you like about that system. There are very bias people out there who are all-or-nothing on console system companies and don't list the pluses of ALL consoles...just their favorite. Help Choosing Gift...? Before I start this question, I would like to point out the purpose of this thing.
