what can i do to make my real arcade games run faster, some of them the mouse moves very slowly?

some of the games i download on real arcade run slowly, the mouse moves slowly, the pages load slowly. I thought at first it was just the bigger games but its not. Would i need to update my graphics card? I have plenty of space on my hard drive and 1gig of ram running a 150gig hard drive I should have made it clear before posting this question that only intelligent people need reply
