Whats the name of the arcade game very similar to Bubble Trouble?

I played this game on an arcade machine (or whatever its called) about 10years ago. You were a tiny guy shooting ropes at the bubbles which split into half when you shoot them. The goal of the game is to shoot all the bubbles before the time expires. I think Bubble Trouble is made after this game, cause it seems newer. Characters there were boys with hats and in the background were usually some famous places/buildings/paintings like Eiffel's tower or Rome Colusium.
